I have done very little painting this year - hopefully next year will be more productive

As a change from painting this is felt applique and needle felting

Postage prices

Sorry but due to the recent Royal Mail increases I'm having to put my overseas postage charge up.

Overseas postage is now £2 per item with an additional shipping and handling charge of £4 per order. This shows on the order form as £6 for the first item, £2 for each subsequent item.

UK postage is as yet unchanged at £1.50 per order

Ayscoughfee Hall

The Spalding Art & Craft Society are holding their 2014 annual exhibition in the Geest Gallery at Ayscoughfee Hall from the 8th Jan - 30th Jan. Opening hours 10.30am - 4pm, closed Mondays & Tuesdays (the council say it's to save money!) Free admission to the exhibition and the hall.
I have some of my encaustic paintings on display there.

Encaustic Wax Painting

My local art group - Spalding Art & Craft Society - has monthly demonstrations. This month it was Carole Boyer showing us how to create encaustic wax paintings with a hot iron. The second half of the demo was a 'try' session and I must admit I was hooked. These are my first attempts, all done in about 30 mins. The small ones are A6, the larger is A5.

I'll definitely be giving it a go at home once I've ordered the equipment - iron, pigmented beeswax and glossy paper.

Wisley Sweet Pea Day - update

Many thanks to all of you who turned up to meet us - nothing worse than a show where there are no visitors.
