Beware Kodak alkaline batteries
This the the damage caused to the aluminium case of my brand new
Macbook - it's 3cm x 3cm. I had the remote of our DVR stood on it for
about half an hour. The remote was working, batteries were in date.
Apparently alkaline batteries (not just Kodak) are prone to leaking Potassium hydroxide.
Unfortunately this eats aluminium - hate to think what it would do to
skin !!
Contacting Kodak is proving nigh impossible

Spalding Art & Craft Society at the SAA headquarters in Newark
On the 3rd Sept a group of members joined forces with
March, Wisbech & Murrow art societies for a visit to the SAA head
office in Newark. We had a very informative day and got to try out a
range of their products - a good time was had by all.
Thanks to Ann
Dring for organising things our end and the SAA staff - Gemma who
organises these visits, Richard who told us all about the SAA and
showed us round the warehouse & Anita who demonstrated the
products - plus all the other staff we met who were so welcoming.

More sewing
This should give my face a bit more shade !
I made the brim a bit stiffer with this one - the blue one tends to flip down in front of my eyes.
Now I've got to address the problem of it blowing away in the wind - maybe a chin strap !!
